LATE M.S.GOKHALE: FOUNDER CHAIRMAN
Was one of the leading freedom fighters of the Country who sacrificed his life to constitute a shadow Congress Working Committee to work for its Quit India Movement together with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Jai Prakash Narayan, Yusuf Meheralli, Ashok Mehta, Mrs. Suchita Kripalani, Achyut Patwardhane, Rangarao Diwakar, Asaf Ali, etc., After independence, he was deputed to Rangoon as representative of the Socialist Party to work as Joint Secretary General of the Asian Socialist Conference. This assignment gave him an opportunity to intensively visit Japan, Loan, Cambodia, North and South Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Western European Countries like UK, Scandinavian Countries, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France, etc.
He had started his career as Chemist and Dyes with the Imperial Chemical Industries in Bombay in the year 1941 later joined College of Science (now, Institute of Sciences), Nagpur as lecturer in Chemistry in the year 1946. After independence he served KVIC as its Director till retirement.
L.P.RAI:
A Gold Medalist of 1961 batch in Statistics from Patna University, started his career as University Lecturer in Patna University in 1962 and continued there till October, 1968.
Left teaching to join First Batch of the Indian Statistical Service, Government of India in 1968. He served Government of India in various capacities to contribute to the field of Official Statistics. Represented India in International Seminar and Workshop on 'International Comparison Programme' sponsored by the Statistical Office of United Nations.
Contributed a lot in the development of National Accounts Statistics in India.
Headed Training Division of the Central Statistical Organisation which conducts various training programmes for the members of Indian Statistical Service as well as Statistical practitioners from Central and State Governments and the Public Sector Undertakings.
He was on Foreign Assignment with the Census and Statistics Department, Government of Libya for four years from 1979 to December, 1983.

LATE M.K.MAJUMDAR:
Retired as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Metal Scrap Trading Corporation (MSTC) Ltd., a Government of India enterprise.
Held many important positions in the Government of India and contributed a lot to the public service. Academically he was a technocrat, did B.Sc.(Eng.) and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering. A fellow of Institution of Engineers(India).

London(1985-88); CMD- MSTC and Ferro Scrap Nigam Ltd.(1982-85); CMD- Mica Trading Corporation Ltd.(1977-82), Managing Director- Rehabilitation Industries Ltd.(1974-77), Director- DCSSI, Ministry of Industrial development(1973-74); Industrial Adviser- UNIDO(1968-73), Director, Planning Commission, GOI(1965-68); Chief Planner- Bharat Steel Tubes Ltd.(1963-65); Director of Industries, Govt. of Tripura (1955-63), Assistant Executive Engineer- Govt. of West Bengal (1953-55), Vice-Principal- Fulia Polytechnic, Govt. of India (1951-53). His field of specialization was Rural Industrialization and Industrial Trade.
Dr.A.K.Dubey: A member of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) has many distinguished contributions in different organizations of the government. He belongs to Kerala cadre and presently posted as Special Secretary, Government of Kerala. Prior to this posting he served University of Delhi as its registrar. He was also Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Agriculture.
S.S.Kushwaha: A member of Indian Statistical Service, Government of India served for more than 33 years and retired as Director from the Ministry of Chemical and fertilizer, Government of India. He also served Department of Animal Husbandry, Ministry of Agriculture. He was on British fellowship to England for one year. His contributions are mainly in the field of statistics, socio-economic research, studies etc. He apart from being founder member, also served as its founder treasurer.
Srinand Jha: A Journalist by profession, has served various daily news papers. Important among them are Enadu, a leading dailies of Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan Patrika, a leading dailies of Rajasthan and now serving Hindustan Times at New Delhi. He is an active journalist and is one of the founder members of SERDO. He also served SERDO as its Founder Secretary.
Dr.B.K.Pandey: is innovator, designer and promoter of SSEG scheme being implemented through Innovative Research & Development agency Pvt. Ltd. His strong urge to contribute meaningful service to the society motivated him to seek voluntary retirement after serving for more than 21 years in the Government of India. He served National Commission on Rural Labour (Ministry of Labour & Employment), National Buildings Organisation (Ministry of Urban Affairs), the Eleventh Finance Commission(Ministry of Finance) and the Ministry of Rural Development.
Right from very beginning, while pursuing his studies for the award of Ph.D. Degree in Economics, played a key role in setting up ‘Council for Research & Development of Bihar’ in New Delhi– later renamed after bifurcation of the state as ‘Council for Development of Bihar & Jharkhand’. The council is served by eminent persons like Shri Muchkund Dubey, Ex-Foreign Secretary, Government of India, Late Shri C.R.Vaidyanathan, Ex-Secretary, Department of Health, Government of India, Padmashree Bindeshwar Pathak, Chairman, Sulabh International with Prof. Kamta Prasad, Professor Emeritus as it's chairman and many more…… He served this Council as its founder Joint Secretary. Wide-spreading his scope to contribute, he is also played a key role as founder member of SERDO and is now serving it as Secretary General.
